So here is a picture of my herald on palaquin(used to be my epidemius but he kinda sucks for allies now)



So I was thinking of getting some plague bearers that fit in what that skeletal theme. however I do have a forgeworld plague hulk so do you think I should just say spoon it and go with the new plague bearers and just have him stand out a little bit?

Have you looked at the Cryx models from Warmachine? A lot of them have skeletal aspects, as well as a steampunk look that might tie in to the mechanical theme you're going for.
