It was totally sweet when Baldur earthbended a ramp right in front of Lylyth's sleigh and a Woldwrath punched it in midair and it exploded! KA-BOOOOM!!!! Epic Baldur gets his epic revenge!
(I don't have the book yet.)

I foresee a skorne warlock meeting MHSF crossbow bolt/MHI sword and then becoming an ancestor version of himself/herself. Everyone gets a prize. Ret do something cool (killing a character) and skorne get something cool (get a new epic warlock)

Meh, dying to some crossbow bolts or wimpy elf swords doesnt make you worthy of exaltation.
Something more awesome like Xerxis dying while soloing a Hyperion however, would.

I think the Skorne/Ios line is setting up for Nyssor passing his abilities to someone else so they can defeat the invasion.
Rask seemed like a wuss (as is his nature), and the thought of Kromac with Rathrok is mind-numbingly sick.
Also, directly referencing Asphyxious turn to the Blight (former stonghold of Circle on the Scharde Islands, his former domains) as well as the Old Witch stealing Rathrok from Circle is amazing. Love tie ins and back story connections made.
