Hello All!

I've been on the outside looking in on Arena Rex for a while - I caught wind just as the Kickstarter finished, then kind of lost sight of the game as we waited for the Webstore to open.

Then all of a sudden I saw them again at Adepticon this past weekend, and was finally able to pick up some minis! Their booth was packed the entire weekend, you had to wait in line just to try the demo.

I grabbed most of Ludus Magnus, as well as Leo for some living terrain. Two buddies grabbed the Zephyri and the Morituri.

We're getting together tonight to play a few games, what sorts of advice do you all have for new players? What should we make sure we don't skip?

And are there any solid places to grab some terrain? Roman Columns to scale especially.

Thanks Gomez!

I've been through the rules a few times, I bought the rulebook right when the Web Store first opened but never got any minis until this weekend. I'm a pretty experienced miniatures player, so I think I have a pretty good grasp of it so far. I also got a chance to play a demo (I was right in line behind Team Covenant when they filmed their Demo). I'll be getting a few 3 v 3 games in tonight, so hopefully the mechanics will get drilled in pretty well.

Thanks for the link to you stuff, I'll definitely check it out! I'll post some of my paints and builds as I get them moving along. Started on Iason last night, it felt great to put brush to mini again after abandoning 40K for X Wing (with prepainted minis) last year.

So far, I do have my Ludus Magnus squad based on primed!

I don't believe so, they didn't have any available at their Adepticon booth

Hi everyone!

I've gotten busy on my Ludus Magnus collection, starting with Iason. Here are a few WIP photos, I'm hoping to have him finished up over the weekend.

Also, there is some great discussion going on here at Dakka Dakka, but if you feel like you want more Arena Rex chatter, please visit us over at www.reddit.com/r/arenarex

My hope is that reddit might be a bit easier for people to find than dakka dakka or the RRG forums, and the ability to loop in related subreddits should help spread the word about Arena Rex. Hope to see some of you over there!

Stephane will be sculpting him. He does such a great job with beasts. Very excited to see what he does with the art

Gomez, awesome job on Marcus Furius. You're really, really good at shading skin properly. Also, big fan of changing from the blonde hair, seemed a bit out of place in my opinion. Nicely done!

Hey man, that looks great! A little paint and it will be perfect. Consider sharing over at www.reddit.com/r/arenarex too, I know the folks over there would love to see it!

What material did you use to construct the walls?

Thanks for the tip SubParNinja! Got cracking on my arena, but I ran out of modeling sand AND black primer during construction. I'm hoping to pick those up after work today.

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but it seems like RRG just released Khepros in their webstore.

Yayyyyy!!!!

And I'm not sure where to ask, but will RRG have Lupa for sale at Gencon?

At Adepticon, they mentioned planning on having her available at cons and special events, but I know Gencon was a little unexpected for them so I don't know if you can rely on that info.
