The key to strategy is not to choose a path to victory, but to choose so that all paths lead to a victory.

War is beautiful because it establishes man’s dominion over the subjugated machinery by means of gas masks, terrifying megaphones, flame throwers, and small tanks. War is beautiful because it initiates the dreamt-of metalization of the human body. War is beautiful because it enriches a flowering meadow with the fiery orchids of machine guns. War is beautiful because it combines the gunfire, the cannonades, the cease-fire, the scents, and the stench of putrefaction into a symphony.

I'm glad someone noticed that, its a piece of rules trolling I'm particularly proud of. All it says in the rules is that no other units can start the game embarked in another units' dedicated transport. It doesn't say the unit that the transport is dedicated to has to start in it, or even fit in it. So I start the game with the meganobs+boss next to the trukk and the boys next to the battlewagon, turn 1 boys get in battlewagon and head off, meganobz do the same for the trukk, and I sidestep the force org restrictions for allies.

The key to strategy is not to choose a path to victory, but to choose so that all paths lead to a victory.

Single trukk is first bloodfodder it will die and your meganobz will be walking. Plus your spending 150 points on sheild drones I'm sure its not just be thinking that's insane.

Plus you effectively have two troops in a 2k list as the fire warriors will fall over to a stiff breeze.

First of all, I've run the meganobz in a trukk before. You just have to hide them behind terrain, or the battle wagons if there isn't terrain available.

Second, although the troops are scarce, I was planning on holding the fire warriors in reserve and bringing them in at the end to claim points, I usually do that with gretchin in a pure ork list, the fire warriors are basically replacing the grots.

Thirdly, shield drones are great. They make suits way more survivable. I've run suits without drones and I always lose a squad or two, with shield drones I usually just lose 1 or 2 suits. Maybe when I get better I can forgo the shield drones, but for now I get shot at too much to leave them behind.

Finally, you should learn to write better, I can barely make out what you were saying.

The key to strategy is not to choose a path to victory, but to choose so that all paths lead to a victory.

Personally i'd say instead of meganobz take some lootas and a kff mech instead of a warboss. Gives you much more firepower you can even put the lootas in the battlewagon hitting on a 6 isn't that much better than on a 5.

Its not easy writing on a phone, keeping the trukks hidden is easier said than done if its been working for you that's great but I would love to see you try hide that truck from my night scythes or any flyer.

Holding fire warriors in reserve is not as easy as it used to be now from turn two they come on with a 3+ roll.

Shield drones are good don't get me wrong but mainly on broadsides. I like to keep my battle-suits as cheap as i can while keeping them effective so I can spend my points better elsewhere, the best way to keep crisis teams alive is by making good use of jump suit jump not overloading them with shield drones.

In order for the boyz to take a trukk, they have to be 12 or less. But the nobz can take the trukk as dedicated and the boyz can start in the wagon.

Good list. Orks help Tau so much! Nobz in a Trukk are great.
