So I'm new to tau and I want clarification.my understanding of the hard points go like this. Each suit has three hard points that can be made up of any combinations of weapons and support systems. I could do 2 weapons and 1 support, or 2 support and 1 weapon or 3 weapons no support or 3 support no weapons. I'm addition to that if I have three suits in 1 unit I could technically have 9 completely different weapons and no support and tons of combos like that. My question is if what I think i can do is correct or not

As it stands right now, you are correct.
However, the Tau codex is being replaced and updated in about may-ish (Unsure exactly when), so that system may all change

Slightly incorrect. You must have at least 1 weapon if I recall correctly. That may have been FAQ'd though
Other than that you are spot on.

Buying the 4th edition Codex 2 weeks before 6th edition Codex release was not the best investment.
