Out for Salute apparently. I'll be grabbing a box for welsh warband, but I can see lots of potential uses for this set.

Finally, been waiting for years for this!

Interesting that these are generic dark age warriors, I wonder what they could fit into besides vikings and saxons

Pretty much army dark age army. Like I said I'm going to be using them for the Welsh.

I can see them being useful in Fantasy gaming as well if you need to made up a peasant/militia type unit.

Somewhere in south-central England.

Any relatively low tech, low organisation kind of western feudal army from 400 AD to 1300 AD could have included peasant troops equipped with spears, long knives, axes and a few swords and bows, etc.

The things that might have changed are the hair styling and shield designs but if you are not fussy...

You could replace the shields if it matters.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Glad to see the inclusion of slings and javelins, useful for levy in SAGA, box of these and one of the plastic saxons and you could have a 6 point force for £40... tempting

I'm thinking of using these heads:

With the plastics to give them a more Welsh look. They didnt tend to have the full beads you get with this set.
