After the releases of the CSM and Warriors of Chaos I've been left near bankruptcy on my warhammer budget, which is ok since I bought plenty of the units i use and some extras... like 10 warptalons. Anyway with the coming of the chaos daemons I decided to make an allied attachment out of my already owned 10 bloodletters & bloodthirster.

Since the BT is really expensive imho for an allied attachment I decided to buy a lonely herald of khorne (which the model is just awesome), anyway I entered a 1500 tournament and won 30 dlls credit on my LGS, since I don't want to spend much and already have lots of stuff for my main armies I'm unsure on what to spend it on.

My 1st choice was getting another 10 bloodletters which are exactly they price so that's awesome because I wont spend more money and frankly on my tournament games where I deepstroke the 10 bloodletters and herald they just got blown to smithereens on the next shooting phase, leaving usually only the herald and 2-3 bloodletters left for the charge, which isn't that terrible, those 2-3 BL + the herald can deal some damage on a MEQ squad but still their numbers are so low that they usually died on that first round. So... for 100 more points I could boost that squad to 20 BL and the herald, which would mean the Herald + 10ish bloodletters to charge, now those would easily kill any MEQ squad and be alive to do some more damage afterwards. Another option is to deepstrike 2 squads of 10 which again would make my opponent have to focus on one while leaving the other unit alone for a turn, both options are good i think.

My 2nd choice is to use those 30 dlls put 60 dlls on my own which isn't so great, and get me a soul grinder which is a good heavy to babysit my havocs/vindicator which are usually on the backfield. This option is good but it involves some investment however... if it's better than the bloodletters one then, it's time to break the money piggy.

My final option was getting me some mutilators, which I know everyone dislike, but I've been toying around with a CSM list which involves a nurgle termie lord which seems to be a waste of points to leave him sitting on the back, and deepstriking him with termies is kinda expensive, so maybe deepstriking him with 3 nurgle mutilators might work.

So... which option should i go with? or are there any other units worthy of being allies for a CSM? I've heard some good things about the seekers of slaanesh but 30 dlls would only allow me to buy 5 so not sure if they'll get the job done.

Yeah, i was thinking on getting 10 of them and just sit them behind my ADL next to an objective for the 2+ cover for 90 points seems like a good investment but if going plaguebearers maybe i should also get a herald of nurgle instead of khorne to throw some buffs around to the CSM. It is definitively another great choice, the only downside is that it'll left my letters outisde the game since 10 on their own without the herald are just a waste.

Get a greater daemon as the HQ for your allies. I like a GUO behind an aegis. It gets a 2+ cover save from shooting.
