Hello all. I have a few questions about the master of ordnance in a command squad. If the MoO fires, is the rest of the squad only allowed to snap fire instead of shooting normally? Also, if the squad is mounted in a chimera and fires, is the chimera forced to snap fire its weapons?

Thanks

Russell

I have to put my thinking cap on but here is how I understand it with the MoO. He fires as long as he doesn’t move, and the rest of the squad fires as normal. Now if you place him in a transport and move then I believe that counts as him moving and therefore would be unable to call down his blast that turn. If you take him keep him someplace with lots of cover that he is not going to move from since his range is unlimited and you want him shooting every turn.

it's helpful if you cite the rules related to your question.

You appear to be confusing the rules for when vehicles fire ordnance into this situation, which is not correct, in neither case is it a vehicle firing an ordnance weapon.

In terms of the Master of Ordnance, because he cannot fire more than 1 weapon anyway, firing an Ordnance weapon for him is no different to firing a Heavy weapon.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

AS above.

Additionally you are also assuming a chimera is the same unit as a unit embarked in it; this is never true
