So after reading abit on Vietnam in my down time while I'm deployed so as know to historians Tiger Force was a elite spec ops platoon which was famous for there actions as well as infamous for their war crimes -

Tiger Force SGT. WS 4 BS 4 S 3 T3 W 2 I 3 A 2 LD 9
Tiger Force member - WS 3 BS4 S3 W1 i3 A1 LD 8

A tiger force platoon consist of 2-4 Veteran squads and count as one force org elite slot -

Tiger force squads may take up to 2 of the following options
---- Grenade Launcher - ( all points are codex cost )
---- Flamer --
----- Melta gun --
Plasma gun--

A tiger force squad consist of the following war gear
Camo cloaks
Trophy of war *
Frag & Krak Grenades
Las guns ( including Sergeant )
Vox caster
Flak Armor

The sergeant may take one of the following -
Targeting Training ( Heavy 1 ) 35 pts once per game for LOS on the sergeant he may call in a gunship strike , roll a D6 for the result

1-2 Heavy Bolter run - Pick a point and roll 2d6 distance , all models under the line take D3 hits

3-4 Promethium place 2 D3 Hell strike missiles anywhere with in Los of the sergeant , they may only be 4 inches apart

5-6 Heavy Gunship strike - 1D6 Autocannon hits and D3 hunter killer missiles following the same line rules as the heavy Bolter strike -

Close combat weapon - free

Plasma pistol 15

Assault Shotgun -- S3 AP- Assualt 5 12' 15 points

Melta pistol - S6 AP2 - Assualt , Melta - 15 points 12' range

Any Tiger force Veteran may take a Laspistol and Close Combat weapon in Addition to his Lasgun ......2 PPM

Special Rules -
All of em are Xenos even the woman - tiger force squads have an unquenchable hate for there enemies , All tiger force troops have the Rage special rule

Preferred Enemy ( on in dense Terran against any enemy )

War trophy - the gruesome collection of scalps , fingers , ears and teeth in close combat the tiger force have the fear special rule


So I'm looking for ideas , as well as suggested points

15 pts is way too cheap for the Gunship strike when you see how effective it is on a 3-6
Otherwise, they should be slightly more expensive than Forward sentries I guess, maybe 120 per squad ?

More like 50 points for target training. 2d6 Autocannon HITS is incredible. Consider, you would need double that number of reg. guard shots to have an equal result

Fort Campbell has a gym COVERED in Tiger Force stuff (1 BCT gym, if you're ever here)

You should really tune down the Gunship strike. Even 1d6 Autocannon hits without any HKM would still be very effective and way worth up to 30 points, you must consider that you hit ANY unit under your normally 7" line.
Also I would reduce the Promethium Strike to 1d3 but probably buff the HB run.

So i toned down the Airstrike and fixed the armor that i'd left out , anything else you guys see? i really apprecaite the help BTW

I'm not good with IG but shouldn't they have Las-Pistols? At the moment It would make nearly no sense to give the Sergeant the Shotgun and the whole assault usr's like fear and rage would not be as good as they could be, as you either have to forget nearly all shooting before assault or do not assault at all in favor of shooting rapid fire weapons and with for example 2 plasmaguns at BS4 this would be quite viable. So I would suggest to give them all Las-Pistols and make the Chainsword for the sergeant a 5 point upgrade as he does not replace anything he just gets it.

btw the Airstrike should be heavy.

So i added the option for htem to take laspistols and chainswords , any idea on waht the cost should b e for the unit as a whole
