My dad has orks and I was wondering what would be a better method of getting boyz in quicker, Stormboyz or trukk boyz. Personally I preffer stormboyz because, trukks are easy first bloods and I know that having just one trukk doesn't work. It gets blown to smitherines on the first turn. However, Stormboys are easyily mowed down by boltguns and eldar shuriken catapults. If you gave the stormboys zagstrukk, they would be alot better though.

Hm... Tough call. You're right about needing more than one trukk. I've had a lot of luck with my Stormboyz, though. If you're not using Deff Koptas or Buggies, field a few squads of Stormboyz and throw them up the battlefield as fast as they can go. They'll be a good distraction to take attention away from your main troops who are charging up the battlefield behind them. And if any of them actually do make it into hand to hand, great. They've already done their job.

Trukks because Dakkajets should be taking up your FA slots.
Unless Death from the Skies Above or whatever it is called moved them around in the FO.

Stormboyz. Trukks are troop movers and huge fire magnets.
Stormies can zip around pretty quick, using cover to get close, and then smack down for bonus impact hits nowdays.. as well as close combat attacks..

It depends on how you want to use your FA slots and elite slots an how you want to play your orks.
If you like huge mobs of boys, trukks are not for you.
If you want to use dakkajets, stormboys are not for you.
If you want to use lootas, kommandoes are not for you.
Stormboys and Kommandoes can both be used to cover your forces so that your green tide will hit intact but they use up valuable slots that are your source for long-ranged dakka.
Lootas are considered the best unit in the orky list so you want at least two of those. That leaves 1 Elite slot available.
The other think is to get a KFF Big Mek to provide cover for your advancing orks... So a sample 1500 list...
1 Warboss (total of stuff) 100
1 Big Mek w KFF (cybork & uge Choppa) 100
7 Lootas 105
8 Lootas 120
10 Kommandos w nob w PK and BP 2x Rokkits 160
10 Stormboyz w nob w PK and BP 140
1 Dakkajet 130
855
Now for the boyz
20 shoota boyz w nob w PK & BP, 2 Big Shootas 170
20 shoota boyz w nob w PK & BP, 2 Big Shootas 170
20 shoota boyz w nob w uge Choppa & BP, 2 big shootas 150
20 shoota boyz w nob w uge Choppa,PK & BP, 2 big shootas 150
1495...
117 orks with a dakkajet...
The lootas setup with good fields of fire.
The kommandoes infiltrate (or outflank if you think this is better)
The stormboyz and the boyz set up to charge the enemy. The stormboyz race out in front. The KFF Mek sets up to cover all 4 boyz squads.
Now the kommandoes and stormboyz should be threatening a charge on turn 2 so they should both get shot up but your boyz should be relatively intact...

Trukks.
Because:
They can move 24" per turn; to land boys; nobz; mega-nobz; burnaboys; etc right in the middle of your opponent.
If you go second, well you should have deployed the trukks to give them a cover save or have a KFF save and to reduce first blood VPs; but if they want to waste all their heavy weapons popping a few trukks then the contents of the trukks are only 6" worse off than the stormboys.
Imagine a unit with BS4 with 4 Autocannons firing at a trukk and then firing at a unit of stormboys. In the first instance the trukk is totalled, in the second you lose 5 - 6 stormboyz. (unit of 11 stormboys being similar to a fully boy trukk).
In a large enough battle, yeah take the stormboyz, but get the special character, deep strike and straight into combat please!
I do like the idea of large units of stormboyz hammer of wrathing attacks wiping out small units of aspect warriors b4 the get to strike.
