I'm looking for a premixed airbrush paint in a sort of teal/turquoise like this
Vallejo model air only has a rather pale blue colour. So I will have to look at a different range - I only know of the new minitaire which I'm hearing mixed reviews about, but it seems that their troll blue is the closest match.
Anyone with more experience able to help?

VGC Jade Green will probably be the closest match. Like just about any other paint, it works fine in an airbrush when properly thinned.
On a side note, even if you only use "prethinned" paint in your airbrush, you still have a thinning agent on hand. In my experience, even the "prethinned" paint will need to be thinned for the best application.

Get some thinning agents; isopropyl alcohol works okay, liquitex airbrush medium works well, golden airbrush medium ive not tried but expect it to work as well as the liquitex one.
Glass cleaner works too, but be sure to use automotive glass cleaner, or atleast check the ingredients for vinegar - vinegar corrodes chrome, which is commonly on cars, hence suggesting automotive glass cleaner as it shouldnt have any in. (Airbrushes are totally covered in chrome plating so vinegar would be a bad one)
Then learn to thin paints. All paints.
This way you will not have a problem airbrushing any colour you desire using paints you most likely already have.

Medea air brush cleaner is a great cleaner and a thinner, this will allow you to use pretty much every paint for airbrushing.

Bear in mind any solvents sold as cleaners don't need to be as clean and pure as one sold as a thinner.
Thats not to say medea airbrush cleaner isnt good and clean thinner, I imagine its IPA based tbh.
Just keep in mind that products sold as cleaners or 'gun wash' are often recycled thinners containing impurities which can effect the colour of paints thinned with them or cause yellowing to lacquers.
Gun wash would be considerably cheaper than lacquer thinners at an auto paints store for example.

Thanks guys. I think I will go with the thinning process until I can see some Minitaire in person.

How do Minitaire brand paints compare to Testors Model Master acrylics? Both are designed for airbrushing and both are supposedly pre-thinned for you.

Both are fine out of the bottle. So are most vallejo model air.
I have used many airbrush paints, and I find that the ones for modelers are just fine most of the time (as opposed to the more artisitic ones - like createx).
Of course, your brush has a lot of to do with this - my external mix terrain brush can almost throw soup and be fine. My super fine badger krome - it likes the better paints.
The most important factor - try it. Airbrushing is a very subjective hobby.
Best of luck to you.

Createx isn't that bad if youre usi it for select applications. I am currently working on a warhound and using createx extreme color red as an undercoat to the larger armor plates. I use testors grey primer, then a createx transparent black coat around the edges, and then the createx red to fill it in and base for the final red color which is a gw bright red, I don't really remember the name of it but it's giving me great results
