I just got the battleforce and i'm not sure how i should equip the 3 warriors. I'm going to later on get 3 more to make a squad of 6 but need help deciding on the loadout.
Maybe base with the Devourer and talons with 1 upgraded to a Barbed Strangler or Venom Cannon? Or replace the talons with Rending Claws?

Any ideas Dakka?

Don't bother with VC or Strangler. Warrior loadout depends greatly on how you plan to use them. If you want CC warriors Boneswords are the way to go. They will cut through almost anything.

Shooting isn't the best option with warriors unless you plan to run them with a Tyranid prime. Deathspitters are far more effective at BS4.

Hybridizing them gets very expensive, but can be worth it if done carefully. I have run a star unit of 6 warriors with BS/LW and deathspitters with a Duel BS deathspitter prime to great effect. At 50 points however every missile that comes in will make you cringe. They require support to keep the S8 shots away, be it cover FNP or preferably both.

Never underestimate the Genestealers ability to sweeping advance EVERYTHING!

FNP wouldn't help against missiles though right?

I'm curious if anyone has really given Warriors a shot in 6th edition. People taking Plasma/Auttocannons over Missiles seems to be a development that would improve their viability. Also, both the VC and BS are a little bit better in 6th, particularly against vehicles, FWIW. Maybe not enough to take them, but it is nice to know you can throw a VC into a parking lot now and have a reasonable chance of removing a HP from something in there.

While no one will claim Warriors are great atm, there are a few viable load-outs, I'm a fan of 2 with devourers and 1 with a Barbed Strangler. Keep the unit in cover sitting on an objective, granting synapse to any other backfield units like Biovores.

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in space and flung him into the Warp, where my evil is law! Now the fool seeks to return to real-space, and undo the evil that is Chaos!"

I run warriors quite a bit, in games of 2-3k. I usually run at least 2 squads of 9 with rending claws and the upgraded gun, no prime. I find with 2 flying hive tyrants a lot of the high AP/STR shots go towards then, even while flying. its all about threat saturation. Plus i just think warriors are boss status so im biased, I'll always run them.

They need to get close and get close qucikly, so in a mycetic spore for me. You need to then run at least 6 to make the cost of the spore worthwhile. May as well give them deathspitters as they can't run and assualt in the same turn any more. CC weapon load out is quite an issue though - talons are the cheapest and give you the rerolls of 1. Rending claws allow them to hit vehicles and heavily armoured troops, while boneswords are good v troops but do nothing angainst transports - and make the models expensive.

I tend to go talons/deathspitters for low cost. As I keep them cheap I don't go for AG/TS either, as it adds up on a per model cost.

This is exactly how I use them. No complaints in 6th, except of course that compared to seriously under costed Tervigons, they are less efficient, but that is true of virtually the entire codex.

For the greater glory of the Zoat Empire!
