Ok first thing, this is not meant to be a competitive list, which is a good thing as it isn't  I just want to make this list useable, it has it's obvious weakness' which come along with the theme. Just after comments on any adjustments you guys would make, to make it more playable, or if you can more effective using the given theme...

Why play Redeemers, wouldn't it be better if you had more firepower on the field with the LC, better for popping transports and tanks, the DC can handle with whatever is inside them.

Ha it seems when formatting my list I left a power fist on the land raider, shows up in strange orders on battlesribe.
I looked at the basic land raider, and whilst I'm no mathematician, I did roll sme virtual dice and actually came up better with assault cannon against armour, or near enough the same, with its added versatility, even someone could show the actual maths that wold be awesome.
The problem with dreads in a pod, is that I have no redundancy for them, I'll drop them in someone's face, it gets shot and dies. Struggle to see it doing more than that. Automatically Appended Next Post: Just ran the list for the first time, and my opponent called the game on turn 4.

A noise marine based army, list was something like.
Huron blackheart.
Chaos London bike,
5.chaos bikers.
2 x 10 man noise marine squads.
2 x 5 man noise marine squads in rhinos.
1 x 5 man havoc with auto cannons.
2 x vindis
Aegis line with Icarus.
He just couldn't deal with my av14, I lost a total of 3 hull points over two land raiders, and one of them was from me immobilising my self.

AV14 is no joke. In many ways, the land raider is a much better value than the stormraven.

Yes as I have discovered, and even when the death company are out, they are huge threats, that people can't ignore. Maybe it is more of a psychological threat than a real one. I'm still not decided on the land raider variant though.

The firepower of the land raider is not that impressive for the points. It's the fact that you are reliably getting potent troops into assault range and it is indeed an assault transport. If you get a single 18" move off, then next turn move 6" disembark 6", charge 2D6, that's hard to stay away from. Land raider is my favorite way to deliver DC, when I use them. (rarely)
Sadly the DC are still vulnerable to counter attacks and being shot to death since they almost always win on the assault turn.

Which is where the land raiders come in useful as giant line of sight blocking mobile terrain to consolidat behind. Plus I found 4 squads of them hitting one flank simply could be dealt with.

That's why you deny flank and bring plenty of lascannons and melta, and don't get greedy with mass plasma. That's just me; I respect the AV 14, still. It's a quick way to lose your ass if you are not prepared to handle it.

And I actually managed to keep my land raiders behind cover most of the time and shrugged off about three pens from his vindis.
Also with his mark of slaneesh he was going before me in combat so it actually helped me gettied into a few of his big squads for a turn.

I don't like vindicators against land raiders, because you are doing about 1/2 the work for him by getting down to 24".

He had very little choice, between them and the single shot blast master was his only str 8+.

O he had it on his bikes. I cocked up thinking I could manage a first turn charge on them but failed, which left a squad out in the open, his bikes went for them, me melts died to dangerous terrain ( lol) an then the other to over watch.
