Ive been to the gamesworkshop in chester (england) since i started warhammer (both versions) but im finding the atmosphere a bit...lacking. Then my dad told me about the Deeside defenders gaming club and how it was the biggest gaming club in wales. This got me thinking that i should go here insted, does anybody have any experience with this gaming club? I dont like GW because of all the *Little* kids (I my self being only 14) and people who dont know the rules, but id think that wouldn't be a problem there.

How many tables are there? If its the most popular gaming club are tables scarce? Its a wargaming club so it has all sorts of wargames such as warmachine and hoardes and the historical stuff. Is there a large enough warhammer base (both versions, but prefer 40k) to consistenently get a game?

Thanks for the info, also it would be my first time there so would anybody be interested in a game (1500pts dark eldar or 2000pts wood elves, WARHAMMER on HARDCORE!). I know my rules and have been playing for ages, and my *tactical genius* has out grown the kids at the GW store.

Alex.

I went to Deeside Defenders club a couple of times and it is a big club, loads of terrain and tables, and everyone is really friendly and helpful. When I was there it was free for your first visit and £1 each week thereafter. I believe they have an age limit, but I can't remember what it is. I only went a couple of times as when I was there they played mostly historical games, and I was interested in 40k and Warmachine at the time, but that may well have changed now! Couldn't recomend them any higher! There are a few more clubs in the area, I think there's one in Buckley (that I know nothing about), one in Chester who meet on Mondays (I think) and one in Hawarden (the one I go to) who meet on Wednesdays.
