Hi all looking to build a compettive list for no comp tournies. Below is what I have so far. I was considering a commisar and/or some camo cloaks for the CCS and maybe an extra Sabre team. Would I be better to the Infantry squads with Autocannons and the Sabres with Lascannons or is it better as is. Should I run a Quad-gun as well? Any help would awsome.

Looks reasonable,
OoF, I'd say optional as it depends on your opponent. But can be very useful in the right situation.
I dont actually know how sabers work. Does each one have 2 TL autocannons or 1? If its just one they seem a little pricey, or are they emplacements so the guys manning it are T7? Regardless I'd probably keep them as autocannons.
Really the only thing I'd change is to loose the HB sponsons on the vendettas. Often I cant seem them contributing a huge amount, but he 40pts salvaged from that could be used to get some specials in the IG squads. I'd probably go a flamer for each IG squad and a regimental standard with the 15pts remaining to glue it all together. I prefer to have the specials like flamers split up than focussed on the PCS as they can be killed off easy. On that note maybe take 2 meltaguns rather than 4 flamers on the PCS's so you have something the say to anyone trying to be funny and get up close... like MCs and vehicles.

Sorry mate should have mentioned that the PCS's are in the Vendettas they are there to burn guys off objectives late game and to take them for themselves.
Sabres have Interceptors and Skyfire and are T7 & come with 2 crew per gun so count as T7 as well and they are troops so score (The men not the Guns). They only have one gun for the 50pts but as stated do count as scoring. They come standard with 2x TL-Heavy Stubbers and can upgrade to either a TL-Heavy Bolter, TL-Autocannon or TL-Lascannon.
Behind the Agies they will be T7 3+ Sv with 4+ Cover very hard to move with shooting but fall over to combat like they weren't even there. But hey thats guard in a nut shell right?

Heres an update of the list. It might be a bit overkill but hey that 40k right. Should give Deep Strikers and Flyers a run for their money. The regimental standard is a must I can't believe I left it out. The Commisar is to give a Ld Bubble to the Sabres he will have to be the warlord though. Still got 15pts left over might put flamers in the Infantry Squads but would like meltas if I could come up with the points.

Was kinda confused at how you got so much more in there when they're both 1850, then realised the first wasnt even 1700  .
Im not sure if you need the regimental standard and the Lord Commissar. That would get you morale rerolls at Ld10 IIRC... Could probably loose the standard and take the astropath. Or drop the standard, and a set of heavy bolter sponsons and get a quad gun.

I think I might need to play test lol. A commisar on a Quad would be cool. He's there more to boost the Company Commanders Orders and give all the Sabres Ld 10 because there body count is low they will be taking moral from 1 death.
The best order for anti air is the one that forces re-rolls to cover saves for those pesky flyers that opt to jink. But in saying that I willl be shooting at flyers that enter in my opponents Movement Phase so I won't be able to give any orders anyways.
I feel I can handle flyers and any units entering from reserve with this list. I also think mech list will struggle against it. Not sure about Hordes though will 2x Manticores be enough? What about massed ammounts of Power Armour?

Camo cloaks for your CCS would be good. Park them behind your ADL and get a 3+ cover save. Im not sold on the OOF, I would rather go MoO, have that 30 point basilisk. A lord commissar would keep troops around longer, maybe ad commissars to the infantry squad.

I was actually going to run the Infantry Squads Seperate but I have now been considering merging them all into 1 Platoon and taking a Plasma Vet squad for the Second Troops Choice. I'd put them into a detta. Not sure how the meta's moving in the rest of the world but my local has lots of Drop Pods, Flyers, Deathwing Assault and other various things that enter from reserve. Most of the things mentioned ignore the roll on the dice come in so I could swap the OoF for an Astropath or more guns.

I'd say only get commissars if you're combining you're squads in large enough numbers, 30+, to justify the commissars cost. But with the ADL, I imagine they will be behind it mostly. So against shooting the wounds should be minimal so Ld tests wont be as frequent (at Ld10 mostly). In assault they'll get minced, but that will happen if the squads combined or not. The best you can hope for is that they charge 1 squad and wipe it out, then you can shoot at it next turn, rather than have guys locked in combat who wont do a huge amount.
If what you've got is a lot of reserve guys then keep the OoF. But if you combine the platoons, you'd have to drop alot of the sabers right?

Thats correct Sabres Batterys replace Heavy Weapon teams. So 0-5 per platoon. Each battery can have 1-3 Sabres in it. Might drop the Commi then and put in a Quad-Gun which the CCS can operate.
