Hey all, I am kind of new to the game and just bought the DV kit. Quick and easy question: What paints do I need to get the set looking like the picture? Just a list, nothing special.

Welcome! Hope you find this site helpful in all your future endevours in the hobby.
In regards to your question on the paints, I recommend you visit the Painting threads on here. I never bought the set, and if I were to paint them, I would paint them an Alphan Legion or Night Lords.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. To be honest I have been putting together a SM army for some time now. I am really looking for a paint list (i.e. Orkhide Shade, Chaos Black, etc.). I don't want to have to buy a new codex to figure out color schemes and what not. If anyone can pass that info I would be greatful. Thanks again.

Searching for "Chaos Space Marine painting schemes" on google may work.
You can really do a lot.
This is how I paint mine:
