If you don't mind me saying so I think the name is a little too upfront for DE. It needs to be suggestive, think of how you'd describe a sexy corpse: that's what DE would do.

So something along the likes of House of the Maimed Rose, or Kabal of The Eternal Corpse...

My examples aren't working too well though the message is that the de think their depravity is a beautiful thing, maimed corpse is a little too world eaters lol.

What's your kabals structure? Their focus / combat approach?

Well, I'm thinking of using lots of splinter weapons, y'know like mass attack.
And I think Kabal of the eternal Corpse sounds cool and more dark eldar.

The best way to come up with a good name for a DE Kabal / Cult / Coven is, imo, to come up with something contradictory, such as:

Cult of the Poisoned Kiss
Coven of Elicit Dreams
Kabal of the White Shadow

Each of the different sects of DE society represent a different trait, the wych cults being grace & athletisism, the covens being change and long life, and the kabals being military might and tactical genius, so the names want to point towards those traits in someway. Equally, you don't want to overdo it, as going too far would be too representative of the Chaos Gods.

As for your lore, you want to figure more out. So far we know you want to use a lot of splinter weaponry - cool. Game wise it's an easy enough thing to justify, though why would your Archon choose this over the more exotic weapons available to DE society? Especially given that Archons usually want to have a load of bling to flash about in the way of more devastating weapons, faster ships etc.

Could it be that your Kabal is in a 'fringe' part of Commorragh, cut off from the wealth of the more central areas? Have they had the crap kicked out of them and been pushed out of their otherwise cooshy palace?

Alternatively, does your Archon keep a high number of lhamaen poisoners on hand, and their wares are a point of pride for your archon, who chooses to use them at any opportunity.

Another option, is that your kabal has a high number of Warriors. So that would say that you need strong ties to a Haemonculus and / or his Coven, as these would be responsible for ensuring the recreation of the Kabals numbers.

So to summarise, you want to figure out their location, their specialties, and the reasons for these. That's just to get you started - get the bare bones first and flesh it out after

Hope that helps in some way!

If this helps any my Dark Eldar are far from the "typical" Dark Eldar, I was playing around with the idea of how to be unique and while flipping through the codex I was reading the blurb about how the solar cults were at war with the "pre kabals" for control over Commoragh

so this made me think of Drizzt Do'urden and how he overcame his heritage..because frankly solar cults sound more like "good" Dark Eldar....something like that anyways

I've pictured my eldar as the children of the laughing god who have risen beyond their heritage (if Drizzt and other dark elves can do it why can't Dark Eldar) and as such they are more harlequin-esque
and warrior monk like, their colours are brighter as a result (mine are bone, black, gold and different hair colours and a darker skin than would be seen on a typical dark eldar) and it was commented that they look more Arabic

Then a rebel, Guerrilla band kind of cult? So they would have trouble getting access to the nastier more exotic weaponry.

Sssort of...but instead of Guerilla..it's more aligned with the Harlequins. I would imagine that they don't live in Commoragh anymore but in another section of the webway

and in theory they might have more trouble getting access to them but we could say that the Cult of the Laughing God have ascended Dark Eldar engineers among them able to replicate the factory processes and because they're smaller in size compared to the Kabals then there is less need to mass produce the weapons and no need of human slaves
