Hi Well if you clicked this topic then you likely know full well about the Mierce/Maelstrom Miniatures controversy The simple question is has anyone actually bought from them since, if so what was your experience. You see their models are incredibly beautiful, some of my favorites ever, and I really want their Basilisk or Blood Maw model in the near future, but am finding it hard to trust them with all the negativity around. Has anyone actually done transactions with Mierce since, are they just as bad as they used to be? Or has things improved at all? Thank you Edit: Thought I should add a link lol mierce-miniatures.com/

They have a few things I'd really like to get my hands on, though I haven't taken the dive and ordered anything directly from them- I have the same concerns as you.
That being said, I did get one of their minis, a real piece of art IMO, secondhand from an ebay seller out of Texas. The quality of the model was absolutely fantastic, and the seller must have gotten it somehow...

Yes. Received both of my models within 2 weeks. Immediately pledged the KS, which has apparently begun shipping.

Ah, well that's good at least, oh btw out of interest, do they come with bases? (Especially those shown in the pics on their site as having them), it might be hard to find appropriately sized bases otherwise

They do. They're more similar to the privateer style lipped base, but they also are sunken just a few MM so you could flock them easier.

I clicked on your thread even though I didn't know who you were talking about. I kind of figured you'd link to their site. I'm looking for some third party bits for a project though, so I looked it up on my own.
After mucking about on their site for a minute or two, I decided I'm not really interested in their products. I didn't see anything to pique my interest, and the site wasn't very user-friendly.

If you're not a Fantasy dude I can see how the aesthetic may not appeal. They are, however, some of the nicest and most detailed miniatures I own.

Though some like Krull, the Blood Maw and the Kraken monster could fit into a 40k/futuristic setting

I painted a couple of them for a client before the Maelstrom collapsed. Really, really nice miniatures, beautifully sculpted and cast. Shame about the Melusines, but everything else is a peach.

I've bought 3 of their items, one from them before I heard of the fiasco. The last two purchases have been through the warstore. Love the products. My last purchase was missing a base, but I was going to put it on different base anyways, so didn't matter.
Being in the US shipping was much faster from the warstore. 5 days vs 2 weeks.

I have a Banelegions model I use as a BSB for my WoC army. I had to use a different base than what it comes with, but it's a good model. Doesn't have the exaggerated features of GW's stuff, but it has great detail.

I own a ton of them, and I can't stop buying them becase they are honestly the best models I've ever owned in my life.
I purchased several domestically from The Warstore and FRPGames: Talos, Kraan on Bear, Galagaak, and the two Tarvax. Oh and Cormoranaac (the big cyclops holding the pig), which I just finished painting up. Oh and Gynroch the wyrm/dragon.
Then I supported the KS to the tune of $400+ and got my first shipment a couple days ago which had all the beastmen, Uuthull, the Mantichore, Wyvern and some others. The KS shipment took 5 days from when they mailed it to cross the Atlantic and arrive in Richmond, VA.
I can honestly say they are all amazing models and the painting I've done so far has been some of the most enjoyable painting I've done.
The service I've gotten from them has been great - always quick to respond and very helpful, they even replaced a missing part on a model I got on clearance from another retailer from the USA, they sent it with my KS shipment.

They fulfilled 2 of my orders that were placed during the fire sale while they were Maelstrom, and 1 afterwards. I also pledged for their KS. A fair number of people in the campaign received some of their pledge already (my starters wont ship until April though). Hopefully focusing smaller will enable them to conduct business better.

Any more interactions with them? I've been wanting to get the big demon of Dis but don't want to get burned for over $100. They have some great looking stuff for my WOC army too. I would order through thewarstore but they have a limited selection.

Pretty much!
This thread's a bit one the old side - and as Cincy mentioned, there's an ongoing one in News & Rumors that makes it easy to stay up to date on all things Mierce.
