So, I've never seen a fully assembled Land Raider in person yet. Crazy, I know.

I saw this set and really love it. I think it's much better than FW's. However, I wonder how it will work on a Land Raider. I know the front panel won't work, but are the side doors the same size and shape on a LR as on a Rhino?

Or, if anyone has used this particular set, feel free to comment on it.

No, the doors on a rhino and a Land Raider are different sizes

Bummer. Any ideas for other sources of Land Raider doors? Looking at Chapterhouse atm.

The only way - without a rebuild or scratchbuild work of your own - to get Rhino to doors fit on a land raider is with a FW conversion (MKIIB sponsons) as they use a rhino sized hatch.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

Hmmm...that might work as I do like those bulkier sponsons. I guess I'll have to decide if it's worth the added cost to a model that's already getting up there.

Then again, it wouldn't be difficult at all to just do as you mention and scratch build the details. I've got skulls aplenty, and GS bones would be pretty easy. Since they also sell those items separately, I could just by the other bits which would work fine, or just make my own. I think I'll do that after all. Again, most of that is pretty easy, and I need to learn to do fur and beards anyway. I've just started messing with GS so it's a little intimidating still.

Doing a 120mm Samurai which required some serious filling and sculpting to match fabric folds and creases has begun to show me that it's not so hard.
