Howdy, I use it all the time as I cannot stand glossy models.
First off, use the spray in a well ventilated area, preferably outside.
Your goal is to use the spray from a distance of about 8 inches away or a little further, depending on the model size. Use your best judgement. Spray through the model as if your intended target is beyond where your models are.
Don't handle them and do allow them to air dry.
As a bonus, monitor your barometric readings and the level of humidity. It can cause issues with drying time and causing a haze to appear. It's the same as spry priming on a humid summer day and the paint refuses to dry.
