I'm extending a warjack's arm a bit, does anyone have experience making piping and what not? What is the best way to do this? I figure I'm more likely to get a hit here than in the modelling forums, and it is specific to warmachine (a centurion as a matter of fact), but if you mods think it should be up there then feel free.

Like that but the arm is angled up, as if he has just finished a wide sweep with his spear and decided to pose. The join between the shoulder ball and the arm is where the extension is, and that's what I'm asking about.

Thanks for your help

edit: hot damn that picture came out huge...sorry

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

A styrene tube is best. I would use a brass rod as the core/pin to the torso and elbow and the styrene tube over top of it. The sytrene is not strong enough to withstand the weight and movement alone during game play and transport.

If you hare having a hard time getting brass rod or don't have something to cut it then you can use a really thick guitar string as the internal support.

Thank you, I can get brass rod easy enough, so that'll be what I go with
