With GW's "go big with monsters 'N chariots" eye-candy strategy to make sales, I'm surprised and somewhat shocked they didn't do a new plastic war wagon for Empire.

Seems on the surface like a slam dunk choice. Alot of the WHFB battles people I know, especially the Empire players who tend to have historical games ties and conservative playstyle, balked at the solar system on wheels and giant laser. They sit on the shelves unbought at our store. While the war wagon (and FW's land ship for that matter) have a mild crazy factor (it is a fantasy game after all), they are an acceptable compliment and affectionetly referred to as the "wagon of fools"

Meanwhile a couple of people have busted out the old war metal wagons, found acceptable rules, and field for use at our LFGS.

Really not suprised at what GW does and does not do these days. I just feel I could run their company better while drunk, high and in prison with one phone call a week.

Exactly

Though not sure how one can be high and drunk at the same time

Anyways though I think one possible issue of the war wagon is that I dont think its meant to ram things, so then its just a mobile/armored chariot with similar/less firepower than outriders. Not saying though it couldnt be awesome. Real life war wagons were basically mobile forts
