So I have just above 1500 points of BA, and I wanted to add Imperial Guard to fill out more troops on the field. What do you guys think I should get for my list? Or should I be bringing in tanks?

My advice is: get the IG backbone and use Space Wolves. Seriously, the BA kinda suck now unless you want them for fluff reasons.

What kind of BA do you have? An easy IG add on is a blob with ADL, and maybe vendettas if you want them.

Agreed with above^^^ with Guard you can get a cheap platoon behind a defense line to hold home objectives and then add a vendetta since its pretty much the best flier in the game. What else do you run for blood angels?

I have a Captain (though not for long after I get a Librarian.)
2 Assault Squads
2 Tactical Squads
5 man DC w/ Jump packs and CC weapons
1 Rhino
1 Baal Predator
1 Furioso Dread
2 Devestator Squads of 5

I would give the IG a few more points to play with. Get some troops and the defense line with maybe one or two tanks. Give them like 400/500 points that should cover it.
