I have a army of Tyranids currently, but i kinda feel i dont get anything out of them gameplaywise, i dunno if i have the wrong army set-up or that everyone else just have things that just devestate what i have for like half the points i used on it.
And i kinda feel drawn to sell my Nids to go for a more shooty tech army such as the Tau.

*shrug* i really dont know... should i sell the nids and get Tau? or should i revise whatever i have of Nids and get models that is less likely to die?

Try Tau out using proxies. You might find you like them better, or not, but it's better to know before you spend money.

Why not keep both? Start a new army and keep Tyranids for later.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Yeah it best not to sell your amy as the re sale value is normally less than 50% & when the Nids get an update you might want to play it again.

My exceedingly biased opinion is that you should definitely trade your 'nids for Tau.

After sleeping on the case i have some more complaints really, i just feel the tyranids are in a heavy disadvantage as an army because the lack of anything with a armor value like a tank, monsters are all well and good but nothing that can reliable tank even a hundred shots without the slight chance it might go through.

And their Anti-Armor is quite lacking as well, i have to take all of my elite slots to have something to clear out armor even in the most basics of lists.

Also their choices is quite few compaired to other armies i feel, i kinda chose them as they were kinda "special" since they were melee based, but in the end they are just a bit underwhelming.

But, i am considering getting a starter kit of Tau, maybe like 750 points to have a little of both.

Well, then i most likely going to wait and see whats up with that, but i just feel i should get rid of my nids regardless.
I mean i should at least try to get something back for em and use the cash elsewhere.

It sounds like you REALLY want to get rid of your nids......someone will buy them lol but their anti armor is apparently going to equal Tau anti armor(rumored S8 broadside) except with a shorter range. So dont let that effect your decision too much. But still.....tau will rule your face when you fight them......just sayin lol

Well the thing is that i want to get rid of an army i wont use as much, or just feel is underwhelming, it require a very spefific list to have Nids going without being shutdown by even the smallest of vehicles, and with the current flyer spam, the nids dont have anything themselves for anti-air.

I do see where you are coming from! The lack of AAir kinda blows, im not gonna lie. However my Hiveguard always seem to prove their worth. Even against flyers(stupid death rays) but like they said. keep the models. when they get updated for 6th or 7th you may wish you had your bugs when melee becomes the gak again!

Yeah, i think i buy a battalion or a very spefific "mini-list" of Tau like 750 points.

I really like their models, so i might aswell keep both of them.

Tyranids using Iron Arm Tervigon\Flyrant spam is one of the best armies in the game IMO. If you get Iron Arms off, nothing can stop you.
I would keep them.

This alone is enough reason alone to keep them. pack em up and once a new update comes along bring em back out and dust them off, you'll be glad in the long run.
