IRL) and I've recently (As of Dark Vengeance) started collecting and painting Warhammer
40K, I haven't played a lot because to be honest i find the game a little confusing. I was introduced to the hobby by one of my better friends Haydn (
HazardSyndrome on YouTube). In little over two weeks I'd gotten the whole of
DV painted and ready to go. I didn't really expand my army at all bar 8 Berzerkers, 5 Possessed and a Chaos Demon Prince given to me by my friend Haydn. For christmas i got a 10 man tactical squad and got that built and painted on the day.

In this time I've become really well acquainted with the staff at my local Games Workshop (Canterbury) and was going in there almost every other day to buy a new paint for some other small detail. So I've built up a fairly decent knowledge and collection of the paints and techniques.
Now forward in time to the beginning of March when I got a big bonus from work and decided that I wanted to get my feet wet with picking my own army and painting them, I did a bit of looking around and Necrons seemed to fit the bill quite nicely. So I picked up the Battleforce and got to building, the same day i travelled back and picked myself up Anyrakyr the Traveller and a Lord with Res Orb. This box left me a little bit stuck after 3 days with everything built and painted aside from the Doomsday Ark which took me a whole day and I was less than impressed with how it turned out.

After the Ark was built i played my first game with the necrons and thoroughly enjoyed them, So i worked out how i was going to expand my list and bought myself a cryptek. Played another game but still felt lacking so went and got a Doomscythe. Now my army is really shaping up and I'm liking using them so much that I'll probably start playing the game more.
The backstory for my Necrons and what I've tried to do is as follows:
Basically the tomb world has been re awakened and they are slowly coming back to life, the green painted areas are supposed to be glossy ceramics where as the rest of them are fairly generic metals. the reason for them not being completely rusted up is that the living metal has started to repair itself and shake off some of the rust and dirt built up over millennia of underground hibernation.
Well that about sums that up. Just so you know and can comment what i have right now is:
1 x Anyrakyr
1 x Necron lord with Res Orb
1 x Cryptek
1 x Doomscythe
1 x Doomsday Ark
20 x warriors
5 x 4 Scarabs on a base
5 x Deathmarks
I'm looking to bolster that with:
2 More Scythes
1 More Doomsday Ark
5 More Deathmarks
20 More Warriors
a Command Barge for AtT
and 2 Triarch Stalkers
