New player and new to the hobby, Ive always been interested in the 40K universe and even bought a box set a "few" years ago, well a few tuned out to be 1999 and its out of date

Just picked up a 6E rulebook, and an Eldar codex and some units .

Now that Im retired, Im looking to get into the painting and collecting aspect also

Eldar are a very cool army. Those "old" models are probably all still included in the rules, but Eldar should be getting a new book and new sculpts later this year, so try to stick to essentials for a few months. I don't see a lot of stuff being taken away, just additional/updated sculpts and a rebalancing of units.
