I'm big into customization of my miniatures, and have done quite a bit with greenstuff, but I havent been able to find any good plasticard, which would be really helpful for some of my projects. Does anyone know where in America I could get some in different thicknesses? Thanks in advance

Try looking for a model railroad hobby shop they usually carry numerous sheets in various thickness. That is where I have managed to buy any plasticard that I have needed through the years.

You live in the country that is home to two manufacturers of the stuff used by the tonne by modelmakers and scratchbuilders.

Plastruct.com and evergreenscalemodels.com

Sheet, rod, tube, I-beam, H-beam, C-beam, textured/embossed , you name it.

Many hobby stores carry their stuff (if they deal in model railway or regular model kits, they probably will.).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

One piece of great advice I was given; go to any department store and buy a plastic FOR SALE sign. About a buck apiece for a nice big sturdy square.

I've also built quite a few tank just cannibalising old cards like junkmail credit card offers, unneeded/expired store and gift cards, old Pirates punchouts, ect.

I notice my posts seem to bring threads to a screeching halt. Considering the content of most threads on dakka, you're welcome.

You can get Evergreen and Plastruct brand products from the internet.

Personally, I get my sheet styrene from no further away than the hardware store a block up the street from my apartment. They have a small space for sort of hobby stuff, like x-acto knives, balsa wood, aluminum tubing, and the like.

If any of your local game shops sell Gale Force 9 products they may have some of their plasticard variety packs. I got one of those to start (as well as a collection of different sized tubes, rods, and I-beams) and then when I was more versed in the properties and uses of different thicknesses I went to a model RR shop to pick up refills and more specialized stuff.
