I cant believe that is all gameplay though, astonishing.

Must say it looks like it'll be more fun than BF3's campaign. Still think they should have put more time into it and not make it a 1/2 year cycle. EA is now doing what Activision does with COD

Apart from that's wrong. DICE had been doing at least a game every 2 years since '07, it just now happens to be purely battlefield games.

Also seeing as it's still Frostbite 2, that's pre-production time absolutely slashed. Look at Bad company 2 compared to 1, same 2 years (well 20 months), 10x better multiplayer, same engine. You can also bet your butt the team's about 5 times bigger now.

The singleplayer looks boring, still fails to capture MW1/2's awesomeness despite almost every element being way better.

Just to be sure these will be on the next gen platforms yes?

Looks like any other modern-setting shooter.

I am never interested in Battlefield's singleplayer but no doubt multiplayer will look very close to this, its gonna be mind blowing. Also Dragon Age 3 is going to run on Frostbite as well as Bioware saying its good to see how Mass Effect could look. The future of gaming baby.

Agreed that SP will be mostly meh. Its all about dem vehicle battles in mp!

I just kind of hope they dont do the "Jets are kind of useless if you're low leveled". Makes no sense to me

I didnt mind Dragon Age, never completed the first but I am really eager to see a fantasy game like this.

One can dream of a Warhammer or Lord of the Rings game using the Frostbite Engine.

Looks good...but I'm still playing BF3. I was honestly hoping for another Bad Company or 2143 before BF4.

Yeah rumour is 3 factions (possible 3 way battle?) aswell as 60 players on next gen consoles, might make sense for the 3 way battle as 60 player would be 20 each team.

Errrm I believe the beta is supposed to be this summer and IIRC I am sure it is a fall release.

20v20v20 sounds interesting at least. I've seen WvWvW battles in MMOs and three-way fights are always interesting.

The 3 way fights in Planetside are just amazing, especially when you are fighting one faction, who ever wins gets the land but later on the other faction steam rolls in and a special type of hatred is formed.

As it turns out it is a new engine, whoops. Doesn't change the fact DICE have been making games every 2 years since Battlefield. So this is not comparable to Treyarch/infinity ward cash-in.

Factions will probably be randomized on the map. Or it will be map locked.
It won't be a 3 way battle game. Plus it's already said that it will be 24 players on the map on current consoles. And the next gen consoles will get 64. So 3 factions on 1 map is impossible.

It's actually not the same engine, so lets leave it at that. It's still nothing like what infinity ward/treyarch does. EA is not pumping out sequels every year. DICE still got 2 years, which is all they've ever needed to make new titles, dice have released a title every 2 years since battlefield 1. Also Medal of Honour was cancelled after warfighter performed poorly.

Which, by definition, means that it is not "the same engine".

It cannot be the same if any tweaks/improvements are made.

It's the same Engine, they are just altering stuff so they can do better things with enviorments and destruction. Like that Need for Speed Hot Persuit... They altered the engine for that game to... but does that mean it doesn't run on Frostbite 2.0? If a developer uses the Unreal Engine 3 and alters it to fit their game, does it mean it's not the Unreal Engine 3 anymore? That's just wrong.

And by default, creating an engine takes more than just 2 years to build.

It's really just my personal opinion, but it's somehow even more of a corridor shooter. I know it's how the MMS scene works now, but I just don't think this will interest me in terms of singleplayer, which is what I play most.

I actually squeeled at this. I am a huge battlefield fanboy, so this excited me quite a bit!

It looks pretty... Otherwise.. yeah, can't say I'm even remotely interested in this series anymore.
