So Im looking for stowage options to throw on my leman russ, I got extra track links to throw on as well but are there any sites that have some cool stowage? Im not a fan of gw's as it seems really pricey for the small amount you get.

Also does anyone know of how to get really good looking cammo netting on a leman russ. Ive got this olive looking gauss but it just looks so plain, I figured I would maybbe add some paint to it so it more matches the green I use on my tanks. Ive heard of people then mixing watered down glue and then setting the netting on the tank to let it harden up, does this really work? and what kind of glue would work as well? could your generic elmers glue do the job?

Thanks for the help!

Not sure on stowage but I have done some webbing/netting with gauze.

Watered down PVA will do the trick.

I found that using a disposable cup with 1:1 watered PVA (just slightly thicker than water basically) gives you a good base. You want to thoroughly soak the gause in the cup before applying it to the tank, it won't model properly if you try to place it before it's soaked.

You can go over it with more PVA, or use paper towel to soak it up if you start to lose detail. A lot of the time it won't actually stick once it's dry. Just use superglue to fix it permanently to the tank.

I like that PVA idea, Ive heard of it before but never seen how good it looks, now can you find that at a craft or hobby supply store?

PVA glue is just white glue (like Elmer's and Tacky Glue) and when mixed with water all it does is stiffen the gauze and helps it conform to what it is resting on. Also, the company Verlinden makes a pretty nice 1:35 scale camo netting that is available in a couple of colors (I have the olive drab variety myself). I think I paid like $7 + postage for some and you get plenty of it.

There are some decent how-to videos out of how to do the gauze netting technique.

Verlinden makes some cool stuff. I didn't know they made camo netting. I have one of their turret bunkers that is becoming more of a long term terrain piece than I'd planned that needs netting. If my DIY attempt doesn't go well I'll keep that in mind.

HeavyBolter has the right idea. Scale model accessories in 1:35 or 1:48 will be a great way to go.

You could also glue little bunches of these leaves to the gauze netting

I like the PVA idea and will have to give it a go. I will probably update pictures once available.

Thanks for the Comments!

God Verlinden makes nice pieces. You'd think they're finecrap at the price too!

Those 1/35 - 1/48 scale items would work nicely.
