Hey guys,

I'm completely new to table top gaming and warmachine and am looking forward to getting into it. so if you guys would give me some tips on what a good starter army would be, the only thing i have to go on is some battle reports I've watched on youtube. I rather like the look of the Menoth faction and have already ordered an Epic Grand Exemplar Kreoss, I like his feat that allows all melee attacks to automatically hit for a turn. So if you guys could give me some tips on building an army around him that would be great, my starter ideas would be him, crusaders, and a choir, using the feat for auto hits and the choir to boost damage.

I've also read the thread on here thats about the same topic and the guy talking about pServerious and redemer's which also seems pretty sweet (aside from not knowing the technical ligo of it)

any tips for a new guy would be great! and just remember i picked Epic grand exemplar Kreoss because he was Menoth and looked cool and his feat seemed sweet!

Thanks!

See if you can't borrow a Menoth army to try out the stuff. Then get some tips from the other locals.

Remember warmachine is a game of synergy. One thing you will notice is that some warcasters are not made to run multiple warjacks.

Let me point you to this link http://battlecollege.wikispaces.com/

You can find lots of stuff about every force in the game here and is a great place to learn about the different armies.

eKreoss is an infantry caster. Meaning he likes lots of troops and 1-2 warjacks. Units like Exemplar Bastions and Exemplar Errants are very good units for Menoth. The choir of menoth is a must especially if you plan on running more than 1 jack. Kreoss likes a melee oriented army so look into units like Daughters of the Flame. They are fragile but if you can learn to protect them they will decimate anything they touch under his feat.

The other side of the internet

Welcome to Warmahordes! You have made an excellent choice to join the True Faith of Menoth and not any of those dirty filthy herectics.

While autohitting with melee is an awesome part of the feat, the truly awesome part is the extra swing. eKreoss LOVES infantry, especially exemplars. For jack support, you also want to look into vassals of menoth. They give an extra swing to jacks. With full focus, vassal, choir and feat, a single crusader can pretty much destroy a colossal. You can get up to 6 swings at PS 20.
