Hi all,
I am currently stuck between two lists to build for my betrayal world eaters army. Can I run it past you guys? Several brains are better than one.
List one;
All chain swords are replaced with chain axes (free upgrade for world eaters).
Legion Praetor
+ archaeotech pistol
+ Paragon blade
+ Iron halo
+ Digital lasers
+ melta bombs
190
3 apothecaries
135
Contemptor dreadnought
+2 CC weapons with bolters
175

+ 5 marines
+ additional CC weapons
+ legion vexilla
+ power weapon
+ artificer armour
270
Legion tactical squad
+ 5 marines

List two;

2 Apothecaries
90
Legion Tactical Squad
+ additional cc weapons
+ legion vexilla
180
Legion Tactical Squad
+ additional cc weapons
+ legion vexilla
180
Legion Assault Squad
+ 2 power weapons
+ lightning claw/power fist haven't decided which, some help here would be usefull please)
+ melta bombs
+ artificer armour (champ)
300
Legion Assault Squad
+ 2 power weapons
+ lightning claw/power fist (haven't decided which, some help here would be usefull please)
+ melta bombs
+ artificer armour
300
Heavy Support Squad
+ missile launchers
+ flak missiles
210
Predator
+ executioner plasma destroyer
+ lascannon sponsons

The first list has more bodies, more anti air fire power and a couple of contemptors. The second list has less bodies but is more mobile and packs more of a punch.
I'm really stuck between the two, any help would be massively appreciated as I don't have the models or time to play test before I buy stuff.
Cheers in advance.

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Not knowing the betrayal rules i carn't give details, but i can give general advice. Where is your anti-tank? What do you do against a stormraven, flakk wont scratch that! You really need some long range anti tank to pop some transports or rival tanks, or they will run rings around you.
Do you play vs other legion armies or against 40k armies? Also do tactical squads make for good assalt squads? I know my incubi carve through any marines, no matter how they are armed. And a lot of dedicated assalt units do that too. If you only get to play against other legions, then that power weapon will be challenged out by there champ, also with a power weapon. Yeah a 2+ save might save you, but in that turn no one hurts anyone because no-one can get through power armour!
So in short, Anti-tank.
Power weapons in list two
Maybe rhinos for list 1.
Maybe give a contemper one of those super assalt cannons. He gets skyfire for standing still.
ADD ANGRON!

You need 2k to add angron...
I am finding more and more that AT is a tough thing for HH lists. You really need tactical support squads with melta in rhinos or similar. Cheap auto/las preds also work for AT and AA.
Personally, I run my WE tacticals with a combi weapon on the sarge rather than the PW

Ok, so I've made some changes. Is this list better?
Legion Praetor

Contemptor dreadnought
+ kheres pattern assault cannon
190
Legion tactical squad
+ 5 marines (15 in total)
+ additional CC weapons(chain axes)
+ legion vexilla
+ power weapon
+ artificer armour
270
Legion tactical squad
+ 5 marines (15 in total)
+ additional CC weapons (chain axes)
+ legion vexilla
+ power weapon
+ artificer armour
270
Legion tactical squad
+ 5 marines (15 in total)
+ additional CC weapons (chain axes)
+ legion vexilla
+ power weapon
+ artificer armour
270
Legion heavy support squad
+ 5 marines (10 in total)
+ missile launchers (10 in total)
+ flak missiles
