So I've been wondering do the Feral Orks work with the regular everyday shooty shooty choppy choppy Orks in 40K? I've been searching around but can't find a lot about the subject. I've been wanting to use them in my Ork army as replacements for bikers and such as I thought it would be funny. Plus making Junkatrucks might be fun.

Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.

I thought more about the cavemen Orks working together with the normal space traveling ones. Would they work together or bash eachothers brains in. I wanted to make my ork army as fluffy as possible and I thought it might be funny to include some ferals with them. Well if that'd work ofcourse.

Ive seen plenty of 40k ork armies that use fantasy ork bit's to make a feral ork horde. Boar-riding rks as ork bikers, even saw a converted squiggoth as a battlewagon once, with the gun's replaces with sling's and throwing axes and stuff, it was awesome

They'd bash each-other's brains in, until they 'Knew fer shur oo woz aardest!'
Then they'd become one big clan.

Used to be when Orks were separated into clans, the Snakebite Clan were basically Feral Orks. And they worked just fine alongside the other clans (Goffs, Evil Sunz, Deathskulls etc). At least, as well as any Orks can work together.

What Rustgob said. It's not an either/or, it's a two step process. As for the difference between Snakebitez and Ferals, I think of it as Ferals live in an environment where they haven't been able to build up their teknology. Snakebitez work with more tekky orkz, but they just prefer the old ways. I tend to model my Snakebitez with guns, because having a sling as effective as a big shoota just doesn't seem right, but focusing on the melee-heavy units and substituting beasts for vehicles. For example I have a unit of boar boyz but I mounted dakkagun bitz on them to use as warbikers.

If you want some good ideas, go check out the Epic Swordwind supplement under the specialist games section of the GW site. It's a free download with an official feral orks army lisy for Epic, which should give a lot of inspiration for conversions
