Here is the Necron list I've worked out for a series of games coming up against a variety of opponents. Possible opponents include SM, BA, CSM, Orks, Nids, Tau, Eldar as main detachments and pretty much anything under the sun could be allied in there as well. The missions that I've played so far tend to be pretty heavily objective based hence the strong scoring base. I also know a couple of the guys really enjoy their deathstars so that is something to take into consideration as far as the meta goes.
HQ
OverLord: Scythe, MSS, Weave, Orb (160)
Elites
5 Deathmarks: (95) Cryptek- Veil, Abyssal Staff (60)
Troops
10 Warriors: (130) Cryptek: Eldrich Lance (35)
10 Warriors: (130) Cryptek: Eldrich Lance (35)
10 Warriors: (130)
10 Warriors: (130)
Ghost Ark: (115)
Fast Attack
5 Canoptek Scarabs: (75)
5 Canoptek Scarabs: (75)
Heavy Support
Annihilation Barge: (90)
Annihilation Barge: (90)
3 Canoptek Spyders: (150)
Just wondering if this is a good durable Necron list all help appreciated.

IF you really want to nuke a deathstar, take TWO unis of x5 Deathmarks, each with a cryptek. Put them each in a night scythe
Drop the Orb off the lord, use the points towards another Despairtek, drop the veil off the despairtek and you've got that cost covered
Drop x10 Warriors to afford most of the rest
Otherwise, looks pretty solid

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum. |

A couple of things that might help you out.
Both the Res Orb and the MSS aren't going to help you a whole lot on this list. The only units eligible/worth putting the characters into are 10 man Warrior squads, which aren't that tough/scary in 10 man squad sizes. I'd recommend dropping the 4th squad, and getting a 2nd Ghost Ark. Take the 2 squad with the Crypteks in them and put them in the Arks, and add warriors to the 3rd squad. If you put the Lord with the squad not in an Ark, then the Res Orb will really help out there. With the 2 Annihilation barges you've got a nice AV13 wall instead of relying on your 4+ sv warriors to pull you through your games.
I don't see the need for 3 Spyders unless you're going for a Scarab Farm. I'd drop down to 2 of them and use the points to bulk out the 2 Scarab squads, or add more Warriors to the 3rd unit on the ground. Alternatively if you have a lot of psychic powers coming your way, then you could use the points on those scarabs for the Crystal.
At this point you really should have some sort of flyer, and finding the points for a Nightscythe will help. It's not necessary, but you're going to find yourself a bit frustrated if you see a lot of them.

What is your plan to deal with deathstars? The death and despair squad needs a nightscythe and preferably another cryptek to really stop a deathstar. Personally I run 2 of these squads with no veil as it is a very unreliable way to deliver flame templates.
Why an orb on the Overlord but no squad big enough to benefit.
Solo arks aren't great need to be taken in multiples and preferably accompanying bigger units.
Scarabs aren't needed in this edition and there are better ways to spend those points.
Not convinced 2 barges are enough AA.

Alright here is the reworked list with some of the changes suggested. HQ OverLord: Scythe, MSS, Weave (130) Elites 5 Deathmarks: (95) Cryptek- Abyssal Staff (30) Night Scythe: (100) Troops 10 Warriors: (130) 10 Warriors: (130) 10 Warriors: (130) 10 Warriors: (130) Night Scythe: (100) Fast Attack 5 Canoptek Scarabs: (75) 5 Canoptek Scarabs: (75) Heavy Support Annihilation Barge: (90) Annihilation Barge: (90) 3 Canoptek Spyders: (150) This list leaves me with 45pts left might pick up the prism on the spyders or possibly a cryptek for one of the foot warrior squads.
