I found out about infinity last summer and bought the rulebook and one box of figs. I played a few games with proxies but then i got into warmahordes, and then malifaux and havent had time or money to play infinity.

The other thing holding me back is scenery, when i can find some cheap scenery, then i might be more keen to play.

In the mean time i'll be playing the odd game using 40k figures as proxies. I've worked out how to use most of my figures except my imperial guard. They are so generic looking they dont seem to fit any faction in particular.

So does anyone have a suggestion what faction they are best used for? Or should i just paint groups of three in faction colours and use them as grunts.

Suggestions welcome.

And yes, i will eventually buy proper figures. But the figures aren't cheap and my money is going elsewhere currently...

Don't worry about it too much is my suggestion. Until you get some official miniatures the game itself is all that matters. If you're having trouble differentiating them then I'd suggest just slapping a streak of colour on the base and write down what each colour is on some paper. That should keep things easy as a temporary fix.

Hope that helps.

I think Eldar work well with Nomad or PanO rules. Marines or sisters for Knight Orders.

Actually, Tau make great Pan0, and the crisis suits make good TAGs.

I can see eldar as nomads.

Imperial Guard low tech makes them a natural Ariadna IMHO.

That's what I was going to say. Ariadna, even cadians can pass for Americans. Catachans in GS kilts are passable caledonians.

Although my current fetish, erm, fixation, has been the 10 statuesque minis I got... I think they will make dashing "Milice Métropolitaine." You guys should give them a go.

Aside from the official Mirage 5 team box... does anyone know of a good werewolf mini out there?

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

The Varghar mini has almost the same pose as the Mirage 5 dude. Weird.

And bought.

Anyone knows where I can lay hand on a viable proxy for a couple of chain rifles?
