Always wanted to get into the hobby since I was little, but the prices for Aussies were ridiculous so the parents said no. I'm giving it some serious consideration now that I'm almost 30 and have some free time on my hands. I went in for the intro game about 6 months ago or so, and apparently everyone wins their first match, but I'm cursed with dice and lost much to the staff members embarrassment.

Undeterred I purchased the AOBR starter kit and some supplies to focus on honing the painting aspect. Whilst I was halfway through the Orks (a few months later), DV came out and I purchased the limited edition as my next project, still being unsure of which army to go with. A mate of mine wanted to have a few games with me, and I found I didn't greatly enjoy them. So after some assistance from people on here, I've ascertained that from an aesthetic point of view, and survival standpoint, CSM is the way for me.

I will take some pictures of my Orks once I've finished them (Warboss and Deffcoptas to go) and post them up for review and criticism. I think they're going quite well with the assistance of the GW Painting Guide and new paint range.

Also if any CSM players out there would be able to assist me in creating an Army list, please feel free to head into - http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/517906.page

Many thanks,

G'day Banicks and welcome to Dakka and the (expensive!) hobby! Plenty of advise to be had on these forums - I'm sure you'll get some regarding creating army lists (in fact, there's an army lists section under the 40k threads).

Laters!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
