I know there isn't much of a blood angels community here but for those few that use them, has anyone come up with an efffective army list that actually suits the fluff? I mean iv'e seen all of the razorspams and biker heavies and whatnot but I really want to try a fluffy army list that wont get wiped on turn two. (believe me, It happens )

Yeah, so in summary, I'm looking for a fluffy yet competetive army list for the angels of sanguinius. Any ideas will be appreciated. thanks.

Well what models do you have, and what kind of units do you want to field? It's hard to come up with something you'll like without that (and you can find some fluff somewhere to support anything really). Having said that:

Massed assault marines are very true to BA, so (depending on the points) 3-4 full squads with librarian/chaplain as HQ, with some death company backing them up would fit the background, and be okay.

You could support this with dreads, baal predators, even a storm raven or two, and it would still be 'fluffy'. Devastators would also be useful as cheap fire support.

Thanks, i really have enough models to feild anything, its just that being a very poor army list writer, writing a fluffy list that can perform decently is impossible for me at the moment. And by fluffy, i mean like the novels, not the crap pulled out of the WARDrobe.

How many points are you looking at making this list? i play blood angels myself and i just make lists when i'm bored xD i enjoy my 3 pred auto cannon heavy bolter combo while my assualt marines move up with the possiblity of being suported with landraider and deathcompany but i'm sure i can make a fluff list that will work decently well but ya any point limit you are thinking of using?

It has plenty of BA specific units that hit hard both in CC and the shooting phase. Plop the libby and the chaplain in the LRC with the DC and cast divination powers on them before they assault.

The codex is the one thing about blood angels that i wouldn't really call fluffy, i mean come on! Dante being EXACTLY as strategic as the silet king, then allying with him in order to kill some nids? ward. You've done it again!
