So I've decided on my own Blood Angel successor chapter using the BA codex.

I've got the paint scheme nailed (almost!), think blood ravens but with a bone colour aquila, right knee pad colour denotes type of squad, Black - Tac, yellow - assault, blue - Dev, veterens wear a bone colour helmet, not sure what colour for the captain.

Right shoulder pad has the company number.
Left the chapter badge, the same as BA.

Libby and chaplains as per normal but left arm as per the chapter.

I've thought of a number of names but can't settle or they don't sit right, so please what sufggestions are out there? my ideas are:

Sons of Sanguinius
Order of Sanguinius
Sanguis Capitulo
Sanguis Knights

I think the Sons of Sanguinius already exist/have a scheme, that said the Knights Sanguine were always meant to be my BA chapter just thought I'd drop the name off as my suggestion

Wrong way round I'm afraid...! The "sons of Sanguinius" is just a catch-all term for the Blood Angels and their successors, it's not a Chapter of its own. The Knights Sanguine are - but there's very little detail on them.

My brain is unfortunately not coming up with any suggestions right now, but I like the ones you've already come up with.

Heh its convenient they were "destroyed by war" because I was gonna make them like the Knights of Blood (AKA "terminated" by the inquisition)because I've always wanted a roguish chapter. Some other names of the top of my head: Angles of Mercy, Sanguine Angels, Blood Thursters (seems like ive heard that one before though), Blood Knights or maybe the Sanguine Delinquents for a more "rogue" character. I call my marines the "Upstartes" and their background is they are all delinquent from other chapters; those deemed too power hungry or brutal minded to be allowed to serve in the forefront of the emperors vision, instead operating in secret and disappearing just as soon as they show up

Mine are the Iron Bloods (combined IX and X legion parentage)

With the "bone" theme, you could do a play on that, after all, bones are the source of blood.
