My psudo-name is Scolas. I started playing Warhammer 40k about 2 months ago and got incredibly addicted to it instantly... Doesn't help that I have an incredibly addictive personality which tends to kill any form of spare money... anywho!

I started off with Chaos Space Marines, buying groups of generic CSM(s), Rhinos, Land Raiders, Mauler/Forgefiends, Defiler, Daemon Prince, Abbadon/Ahriman/Blackheart, groups of Havocs, etc etc in different conditions off of ebay, Some good, some bad some great. All in all 4k+ points in CSM fun toys.

I then grabbed a roughly used 7k~ point Tyrinid Army, from a local gamer friend, which needed way too much work to focus on (3-4 layers of paint on everything with hot glue coming out of everywhere, etc) Decided that this was just too much to work on for a newbie so I resold it and moved on.

Now my pride and joy is the Dark Eldar army I'm piecing together. I haven't been as excited about a hobby as I am right now even just looking at my DE army... I cannot wait to hammer down tactics and put different lists into scenerios. The best part about DE is that when all is said and done, they are sexy as hell and deserve to be on display. As of right now I have over 4k points usable and another 1k+ in the mail/needing built.

After building and magnetizing two Mauler/Forgefiends, I find that I have a serious facination and interest in modularizing as much as possible... which I followed up with 2 Chaos Lords and 10 Terminators with interchangable arms. Looking forward to Modularizing the Talos I have in the mail right now

I came to DakkaDakka when I was searching for Dark Eldar articles to help me understand their nature. I can honestly say that the articles "Dark Eldar Tactica (and Strategi...ca?) " and posts by Dashofpepper have completely sold me on the capabilities of my army and I am greatly thankful. The information appears abundant on DakkaDakka so why not create an account and join in!

I think you have come to the right place. Post some pics of your Dark Eldar. I would like to see them. They are great models, which reminds me that I want to paint one of those snake men one day.

DashofPepper has not been posting much lately since he is recovering from a surgery. He posts a bit on Hulksmash's blog "They Shall Know Fear". His last update was in January.


As for Dakka: enjoy the good stuff, laugh about the bad, and follow the Golden Rule.

Pay attention to the forum and thread posting rules.

If someone is being a huge PITA, just use the yellow "triangle of friendship" and tell the Mods. Don't ruin yourself or a thread with a mindless flame war.

There is something for everyone here. The Gallery, P&M threads, Army List reviews, tutorials, and the Paint matching article are particularly good.
