Me and a friend of mine was having alook at eldrad the other day and noticed the ignores armour on his weapon write up.
Now in 6th weve noticed alot of theses weapons changed to give them a ap rating. We couldnt find anything even in the faq for him on this. Does it still count as ignores all armour or have we missed something??

Still counts - Tyranid Boneswords still work this way too. I'd expect it to change with the next Eldar Codex, though.

From what I hear, Eldar are meant to be in June after High Elves (only 2 months to go! Yay!).
OT, Any weapon that says it ignores armour counts as being AP2 in combat. Yriel works this way as well.

No, it doesn't. "Ignores armor saves" is just that - you don't get armor saves.
The principle difference has to do with fighting vehicles - AP2 weapons get a bonus on the damage tables that simple "ignoring armor" doesn't provide.

Um, eldar are a 4th ed codex. They were last updated in ~2006 IIRC.
Eldrad is actually funny. He has a wytchblade and a pistol as his two weapons. His staff is never said to be a weapon, its a piece of wargear. It just makes his CC attacks ignore armor. So therefore Eldrad fights with his pistol, wytchblade, and staff all at the same time.
As stated, AP2 and ignores armor are different. against inf, they have no difference. However, vehicles have additional rules for AP2 that ignores armor does not apply to.

I never noticed this... so in effect, Eldrad would get a base 2 attacks per turn in combat. hahaha

A codex with the only changes being the changes from Faq's and errata is not an update.

No, he only has two weapons, but the picture you get from him wielding 3 items in two hands to attack with is pretty funny.
Also, you only ever get +1A from any number of two or more weapons. Only things like soulgrinders have additional rules for >2.

.
Per my copy of the Eldar codex (2008 reprint), In combat it (Staff of Ulthamar) always wounds on a roll of 2+ and ignores armour saves. The staff does this, it does not give this ability to Eldrad.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

I'm curious if Eldrad will even make it to the 6th edition codex. He is dead after all. Sure, he was dead before the 4th edition codex, but I chalk that up to GW developing the EoT book and Eldar codex around the same time.
I'm curious as to how the Eldar psykic powers will work. Guide is already present in the power Prescience, so there's not much point in recreating it unless they make it a nova-type power. Will they get a full list of powers like one of the schools, or will they get a mini-school list much like the Chaos powers. And I truly hope the Runes of Warding are given the boot completely.

True, but isn't the Chaos SM Codex stuck at the start of the 13th Black Crusade?
I can't see them getting rid of him, they'd annoy everyone who has one (i.e. every Eldar player ever), and replace him with another Farseer SC (selling a new model in Finecast OFC).
Whether Eldar get a half-table or a full table (I'd expect full, since the half-tables are in Codexes with three tables), I'm expecting Fortune to be the Primaris, they'd get too many arguments any other way.
And yes, hoping they tone down RoW a bit, maybe change them to the 4+, 24" Deny that SW get? (Joking!!)
