I just played a 1200 its battle against Tau (4th ed). I was Necrons (3rd ed) and allied with Eldar (I know Necrons and Eldar don't mix), and we used Pall of Night and Low Gravity. My side took three casualties; one Dire Avenger and two Necron Warriors. We tales the Tau on turn 5. I was extremely surprised that my 3rd edition Necrons did such a great job in 6th edition. I making this statement: NECRONS ARE THE ONLY 3RD EDITION ARMY THAT IS NOT HORRIBLY DIS-ADVANTAGED! What do ya think?

So you played an illegal army, and half of it was in no way designed to play 6th?
That's broken, not a lack of dis-advantage.

Losing three infantry models in a four turn tabling of an opponent does not mean the 3rd edition codex is still magical. It means that your opponent did not play well.
(Though third edition Monoliths would absolutely still be magical)

How many lawyers does it take to change a light bulb?
-- Fifty-Four -- Eight to argue, one to get a continuance, one to object, one to demur, two to research precedents, one to dictate a letter, one to stipulate, five to turn in their time cards, one to depose, one to write interrogatories, two to settle, one to order a secretary to change the bulb, and twenty eight to bill for professional services.
