Hey there, I'm a wargamer's girlfriend. I've volunteered to build some terrain and such like for my bloke and our mates. They're playing 40k. I encourage that; it gives me a quiet Sunday afternoon.

There is a partially painted Night Lord army squatting on my dining table, and I've been stabbed in the hand by a WIP Rhino. Like a true wargamer, when I told my partner, his immediate response was "Is the Rhino okay?"

I played a game of Mordheim, once, and won, which satisfied my urge to wargame. I've GM'd Dark Heresy and WFRP though, so I can claim a reasonable knowledge of the universes, blah blah blah. Currently playing Dark Heresy, where I get no special privileges for being the GM's girlfriend. Damn.

Apparently, knitted and crocheted scenery is Not On, despite my many and varied arguments in it's favour. I will persevere in that regard, while using up my stash of glue, foamboard and corrugated card. I may even move onto model painting, if only to get my table back

I am not a wargamer, nor do I play one on television.

Welcome to Dakka Woolverine

Be sure to post some of your terrain creations so we can have a look. If you are interested in painting a model, I would suggest getting one to represent your Dark Heresy character. My (long suffering) wife used to enjoy painting a model here and there, when they caught her eye, but she never got into the gaming side.

From experience, the table will clear when you get a garage

Good luck!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...
