Thinking about bringing a squad of 10 or 2 squads of 5. Only problem is that they are not a cheap unit.
My list also includes Khorne zeerkers in a LR
Deamon of Khore with BM, wings, power armor ect.
Helldrake
Forgefeind
And still working out if i want to do vinilla CSM or Cultists
Ideas?

Typically, no they're not.
No assault grenades, not Fearless, rather expensive and compete with drakes, bikers, spawn and raptors all of which are more effective units.
Sorry for the bad news.

That's a really open ended desire. You might want to narrow down your scope.

lol this is true.
I currently play a speed freak ork list so I wanted to try something that has a different feel. I like the deamon prince with black mace. Something about that much power on a WS9 MC was irresistible. I want to run a khorne army so I can still get my CC but I also want some shooty support (as I’m not used to actually hitting with my guns)
Ideas?

I think Raptors would fill the role you are looking for, except cheaper and better (win win!). You can get 2 5 man squads with 2 meltaguns a piece. Deepstrike them in, melta what needs to die, hope to survive, assault whatever is around you.
If you need them to threaten infantry, get dual flamers, or if you can't handle terminators, get dual plasma.

If you want CC that can shot, then bikes are for you: you can double tab your bolters, and still charge in the same turn. I'm really curious about the Talons, since my brother also runs a khorne themed army with some Twin LC chosen, i figured it might be cheaper to run talons.

Khorne bikers or raptors would both be better overall units.
Also Khorne CSMs with dual specials also works very well.
You can use Oblits or Predators or Havocs as long range support units to help open up transports or take out flyers.

Yep, and if you brought the CD as allies, then you can do some do some grimlore awesomeness and make their invuln 3+, or use instruments to bring Talons close, but in cover and ready to assault next turn.

Possessed as well. Also, anybody think warp talons might be able to pull some fun stunts against the new tau? I wanna see how well they can cuisanart their way through troops, since maybe someone will get excited and actually field tau around here.

I really like the Idea of Slannesh warp talons for fighting Meq
It would be cool jumping from objective to objective taking out their scoring units
it's only in theory though , I wouldn't say it's worth to take anymore than 5 if you plan on taking them, but watch out for overwatch it will really kill their effectiveness (providing they don't get killed before)
Me and my friends keep talking about is it worth taking them, and we were wondering if it would be better not to keep them in reserve, even though they have that special blinding rule

I've always felt there is some interesting potential running a couple 5 man squads of Warp Talons with a positional relay and a dimensional key. Use the relay to delay their arrival a turn to get the key activated, then pinpoint them to cause mass blindness turn 3.
It's tricky though. None of the mechanics involved are as straight forward as pointing and rolling dice at things, so you will tend to see people give them a sub par rating as most players yearn for simplicity.

Apples and oranges but for the points terminators are much better. Same problem with possessed, if you are paying that much for an assault unit you might as well take terminators.
Raptors lose out to bikes in the same way. Similar units but the bikes just get so much more for the points you spend.

Warptalons might actually be a good allied choice for an assaulty CD army, after all the army should have some fiends/skull cannons around which would help to counter the lack of grenades and as mentioned above the grimoire could make Warptalons of tzeentch Sv2++, it's a shame they lack fearless and probably possessed would work better.

Pretty much anything assault-oriented can slice and dice his way through Tau lines, even basic marines.
And considering battlesuits and tanks are immune to blind (blacksun filters), you wont get THAT much millage out of your talons against tau.
Not the optimal opponent, Tau are too fragile to care how good you are in assault.

That's a pretty good idea though. 2++ dual LC jump pack guys are pretty nasty at that price. They would be both faster and punchier then their possessed counterparts.
