I've recently decided to get back into tabletop war-gaming and what better place to start than with the models that I've acquired either through purchases or after various roommates who played moved on. Of course that means sifting through mangled models and piles of bits, but then again that's half the fun.

Here's the army as it looks now:

An overview of what I'm working with.

My Daemon Prince.

Soon to be Plague Zombies.

Fallen terminators.

The ragged troops.

These forces, as well as two soon to be kit bashed forgefiends will form the core of my forces, but before we do that it's time to get things organized and start rounding up the needed bits.

The starting boxes of bits.

After the days work.

One pile of sprues.

Another pile.

With more clipping all sprues are laid bare and only organization remains before striping paint, building, and base coating can commence.

Looks like humble but hard fought beginnings!

Keep posting the updates! I am considering starting my own Plague Marine army so I am interested in your progress.

If you plan on making this a project log, why not ask a MOD to move this thread into the Dakka P&M Blogs section?

It's easy and more readers look through new blogs there than check this section.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

Aren't those the best sorts of beginnings for creating an army with some style to it?

As for updates I'll be snapping shots along the way as I make progress. The largest anticipated stall will be painting as I've not had much luck with getting nice results in the past.

Hmm, doing this blog style might be nice. I think I'll PM a mod later on today after finishing the organization process.

I should also add, thanks for the feedback and the ideas. They'll come in handy when the sledding gets tough.
