Hey guys I am a newish 40k player. I currently have a list I am working on. So comments/suggestions would be great.

I can't really afford to buy many more models, but if you think I really need it let me know. I appreciate the help in advance.

Things to purchase for the list: Painboy

This list has a few things I would change. First thing that you're going to realize is that the BW doesn't synergize very well with 120 foot infantry. Also why do you have zero PKs in this list?? That's absolutely absurd. Power Klaws are so important, especially on the Warboss, you are missing so much without taking Power Klaws. That would be the very first thing I would changed. Also your nob squad, it is OK, but it could be a lot better. Once again you have zero pk's, and you also lack the Painboy, waaggh banner, and cybork bodies. I can understand you wanting to keep them cheaper but most ork players would agree if you going to spend the points for the nobs you should at the very least bring two PKs in a squad of 9. The painboy gives them all feel no pain, the option of cybork bodies, which are awesome, and he decline challenges so your Warboss, with a PK, can eat anything in his path. Other than that I would drop all the rokkits on the battlewagon and looted wagons. They are too expensive and on the battlewagon are a big waste of points. You should try to get more Klaws on your nobs in the shoota boy units, but I myself run 30 shoota boy units without nobs or with super cheap nobs with Bosspoles. If you want to go more foot list you need a bigmekk with a KFF. Keep him cheap at 85 points and almost all your boyz now have a 5+ cover save walking up the board!! So good. The 20 lootas are always good and the Big Mekk with SAG should probably trade that in for a KFF. Like I said if you want to keep the Nob Battle wagon, you should be aware that a lot of games it will got shot down immediately and wont do too much. Hope some of that helps.

First, You really want a mech list or a foot slogging list. Otherwise you split your forces; hit like a freight train with a lot of vehicles or slowly stomp the enemy out with a thousand boyz.

Second, since you only own 100 boyz, I would convert some of those un-converted looted wagons into trukks or battles wagons.

Third, mech lists are going to be a royal pain for you. You need something to smash those light transports so you can stomp the squishy stuff inside. I would run a few deff koptas, or convert some boyz into lootas.

Lastly, it is easy to make your own Painboy don't waste the money if you do not have it.

Nuts to battlewagons, take Junkas or Heavy Trakks if forgeworld is allowed in your area. Put simply, half the price, 10 or 12 transport, 2 less front armour, but the same deff rolla! Junkas are also faster than Battlewagons to boot. Both units can be *easily* converted out of dollar store 'tanks' or whatever, and a bunch of bits, AND you can take 3 Heavy Trakks in the same slot as one Battlewagon! Check out Imperial Armour 8 if your keen on more details than that, since GW would have a fit if I shared any more of their precious trade secrets.

Your list looks like, well, my first two armies put together. I wholeheartedly agree on the "boyz or wheels, not boyz *and* wheels" thing. In my second battle in particular, I split my forces, allowing the enermy to nuke my smaller tank force first, and then concentrate on the slower boyz bringing up the rear. If there had been double tanks or double boyz, they couldn't have done that!

Edit: Also if you insist on taking a looted wagon, for Morks sake (or was it Gork?) keep it out of sight during army set-up! You don't want your 100 point glass cannon going up in smoke to the first even semi-decent anti-tank weapon that gets it in range!
