So I managed to bring these buggers for little reason other than giving them board time, to a game recently...

Now I remember in 5th these buggers were "Decent" but how on earth am I supposed to justify bringing them over a squad of Zerkers ? =/

I mean, sure that mini table of randomness could, be, "useful" at some point.. But Getting AP4 flat on my Zerkers just felt so much more reliable..

And these things ain't cheap.. O_O I don't get it >.<

Has anyone else figured out a good method of fielding this guys? Or rather found a good reason to bring them? Right now I cant see the point on relying on the random chart =/ I am almost as upset with these as I am Warp Talons

Paint them up nice and pretty, give them demonic pom poms, and get the cheerleading from the sidelines...... sadly they are just not good....

I guess I'll have to paint them up with "Fabulous" Bile and just rainbow.. Rainbows and lollipops..

I really love the models... But since they no longer have good weapons naturally, I just can't seem to find a good niche for them to fill... Heck, my cultists held objectives better =/ and my plain CSM managed to kill more in melee O_o

CSM Possessed? They are actually *IN* the codex?... Gosh your right... they're so bad my eyes ceased to believe their existence...

All joking a side though I have often asked myself this question, and have concluded the only reason for taking them to be purely to fill out a requirement on the FOC if you have no other elite models.

Yep for the cost its only a small amount to go up to warp talons... and they also arent very good but atleast have twin lightning claws and jump packs.... which in this case for the couple of points is an AWESOME upgrade though you do get 1 less swing..

and unfortunately berzerkers arent much cheaper either but atleaste have a MOK thrown in thing is for best effectiveness you want them in a land raider, cos when they step out of a rhino they are more than likely to get shot to bits....

I suppose if given the MoN they could become an expensive meat shield for something better... like terminators or Zerkers etc. That being said spawn do it better, but if you want something from the elite section I suppose it'd have to be possessed...

What about squads of 5 chosen with 5 spec weapons? terminators? if you have enough armor hellbrutes... noise marines, plague marines, lots of better choices than possesed

I do love chosen, with some SWs in melee (LCs and PFs) those guys wreck some serious face!

Though I do have to say that terminators fulfill the role perfectly, the only other elites I can think of that would be decent, are Mutilators =/ And those are simply situational..

It's just a might shame how terrible the Possessed managed to get from being carried over from 5th ED..

I guess giving them the Mark of Nurgle would be okay..

Sadly mine sold their local homes and moved to a quiet section of the eye of terror and are now enjoying a peaceful retirement right next to Dante and several of my BA as with 6th they just don't really have any effect.
