I am making this list for local tournament and would like to make it competitive as I can. My idea of a competitve list with still some CC in it"

Idea is Lazerback stay back and shoots every turn. Typhoons harrass and rhinos move up and smoke. Vindicators are good for vehicles and horde armies alike.

EDIT: forgot to add predator to the list. and upgrades to the squad.

i would recommend going with some Assault Cannon terminators with Tank Hunters. The lazorback is just to expensive for BT. Drop it and a typhoon and your almost there points wise.

I like the AC's just because you have more shots and duality. I believe mathhammer shows the AC as a better Land Raider popper as well, couple that with tank hunters and you have a pretty nasty unit that can go after hordes and armour. However, I always tell people to play what they have fun with.

Thats the way I try to play. If you can have fun just as much fun losing as winning, then the end result doesn't really matter. I am just hoping for a new codex some time soon, not saying that ours is no good, just wanting to see what else GW COULD offer us. Just please no SoB treatment.

I am guessing we will get a 2 part White Dwarf Codex a year before we get an actual book.....

That can be good and bad IMO. Sure we get an update, but look at SoB. They are the forgotten children of 40k. I would love to start a SoB BT army but its just too costly and to get ahold of the WD issues is a major pain in the but.
