Hey guys, I'm brand new at this game. I'm a few games in now, rolling through some trial games with a friend, and we're getting a good grasp on the rules. The remainder of our models are coming in the mail in the next few days, so I hope to put together an army soon in the next higher points bracket.

Here's my 15pt duel list.

pKaya
Warp Wolf Stalker, 10
Argus, 4
Druids, 7

Can anyone suggest any changes, or tactics using this list? I suppose the Druids are good for denial (ranged and magic), Kaya and the Argus can support the Stalker. I'm trying to think of ways to use Spirit Door to set up an assassination run.

It's tough without actually trying it on the table, but I should be able to run Kaya and the druids around a flank. If I'm fighting them head-on with my warbeasts, my opponent will either divide their forces to chase Kaya down, or allow her to get around and use Spirit Door to bring the Stalker into the their lines. If they opt to chase down Kaya, Occulation + Vortex should keep her safe from ranged attacks and charges for a turn, and I can either warp back to the wolf, or warp him to me (to take on the weaker side of the divided enemy force). If they don't chase her, and they keep their force together, I should be able to successfully flank them.

Or not? I'm a noob, but looking forward to trying this out!

Spirit Door isn't an Assassination tool really, its an evacuation tool. This is because the model that gets moved with it can't do anything afterwards.

I would swap the Argus for a Gorax, infinitly more useful.

Ok, that makes sense. If you can't charge out of Spirit Door, maybe you can set up a charge, but you have to weather a turn of doing nothing. Probably not good.

Thanks for the advice, I'll take a look at Gorax.

The Argus is much bemoaned by Circle players, its brought just for the Animus which pretty nice. But since you have a Stalker its less useful.
