What do you think is the ideal Nob Biker mob SIZE and LOADOUT in mid-sized games 1500-2000.

I'd also be interested to know. Got about 400pts in a list I'm building, to slap together some Nob bikers to support a wall of Deffrollas.

Sofar thinking 5 Nobs, with a banner, pole, painboy, and PK in there, and Cybork for the lot.

Then, one of the following
>Biker Boss w/ PK, cybork
>3x Vanilla Nobs
>2x Vanilla, a PK and some big choppas for the mob

I think I've worked that out right, but its give or take a Nob.

I read 7 somewhere once. I think it had to do with paying for the FNP with a painboy as well.

As for load out in 1500 or so, I'd do 8 nob bikers, pain boy, 3 PK's, 3 kombi skorchas. Cybork kind of depends on who you're playing against. Pair that unit up with a Warboss on bike and you've got a very scary unit there.

5 is usually what i run, plus a bikerboss.

1 PK
3 Bigchoppa
4 Kombiscorcha
Painboy w/ Cyborks
360pts. Bikerboss w/ fixins and attack squig is 155, add another KS thats 160 so 520pts total.

This little deathstar has served me well in a vast majority of games. Its got enough numbers to cause an issue and not too much to soak half my army's points.
Now, with the numbers this low you cant charge blindly against a lot of armies but with 24" movements using turboboost you should be able to clear about half the board with little to no shots being able to be attempted at you. I forego a turn of their dakkaguns shooting if i know i cant charge that turn and i am in view of their entire army - thats how these things die is numbers of shots.

At 1500pts its usually my only pointsink and i run lootas/boyz spam behind them. Any higher i usually have something else just as deadly. Hell, im tempted to run TWO of these bad boyz! lol

EDIT: I also always roll for Personal Warlord traits #3 which gives me Outflank for my boss and his unit - outflanking bikers especially on short-end deployments is scary as HELL especially to a gun line.

I always pay for Cyborks because regardless of who you are facing there is always a chance theres something that will cut your saves aside from FNP. With this, its only 50pts. Ive had very few games where i never took a cybork test.
