Bloodthirsty Bloodletter

The Eye of Terror

Most notably, this:

"The Emperor has had many visions when he walked among men, many of those were vague and clouded. One hundred and sixty years ago the Emperor woke up from his coma like condition for a brief second and gave a very specific message in one word..."Blood" and then fell back into his eternal slumber. This has been a fiercely guarded secret, but behind the scenes the Imperium is preparing for the worst, but expecting much worse. The question asked in hushed whispers is , "What has the power to wake up the Emperor of mankind?"

The end time is nigh! The Dark Gods have issued a challenge to all of their champions looking for the one that will bring ruin to the Emperor of mankind. The grow weary of Dark Crusades and look for someone that can deliver a decisive final blow! From the carnage a new champion of Khorne; known only as the Dark General has defeated everything that has opposed him and with the blessing of Khorne and the other Gods is now blazing bloody path to Terra. Is this the Emperor's dark vision coming true? Or a new nightmare?"

Found from here, actually.

If the new ultimate chaos baddie is named "Dark General" than I quit....

But no it just sounds generic campaign stuff to get people to play, I don't think it will be official fluff at all

"I prayed to that corpse for a millenia with no response, what makes you think he'll answer you?"

Yet another siege of the Imperial Palace?

Seems like they're aiming to retroactively add in yet another historic event into the timeline, and a fairly major thing too. An invasion of Terra that was only stopped at the footsteps of the palace? Could be interesting.

A very interesting twist in the annals of 40K time. If this does cast a glimpse into the next expansions set for GW, it could very well could rewrite some of the age old theories about the emperor and the involvement of chaos in the happenings of Terra. I kind of like it !

This is just a tourney set up by some gamers who work for GW. It won't effect fluff and is more or less fanfic (which the 40k setting heavily encourages)

My Armies:
5,500pts
2,700pts
2,000pts

Hmmh, it seems so. Upon closer investigation, World of Battle is just a store in the US. Weird to see their event hosted on the GW website with such big words, but I suppose we shouldn't be too surprised.

Not sure whether I should be disappointed or relieved, but I guess I'm leaning towards the latter. Whilst I really like the prospect of the millennia prior to M41 being filled with more events, I'd say yet another siege might've been a bit too big for my taste (given that this is supposed to be Abbadon's job).
