Just a question really.
Seeing as how suseptable Necrons are to being swept, would it be better to field (for example) 3 squads of 5 that move together as a unit (but can't all be killed in a single charge) or a large sqaud of 15?

My armies always include both, however I'm a sucker for a big brick lead by a Phaeron and backed by a Ghost Arc. Extremely difficult to kill with shooting, and if you tool the squad properly a surprisingly tough cookie in assault as well. The corner stone of my army for sometime has been Imo, Chrono, 20 Warriors, and an Arc.

I prefer to run 10 Warrior squads and 10 Immortal squads. I never take my Immortals as just 5. It's easy enough to stick a few Warriors inside a Night Scythe and scoot it anywhere you want it and potentially get them out of LoS. Just make sure to keep them alive for scoring.
I used to take 15 Warriors/1 ResOrb Lord squads that did fairly decent. I'd imagine that backed up by an Ark they do great.

I agree
I have found that a 10 man squad is the sweet spot. 20 man units are fun to run, but bulky and hard to maneuver sometimes. 5 man squads have their purposes, but are very easy to kill.

My thinking was to field 3 5 man units. They would move and shoot as one but it means that if they get charged and swept (almost a given) i dont lose a massive chunk of my army.
Going to try it on Thursday along with my first ever Royal Court Death Star.

It also makes it easier for them to shoot those 5 guys off the table so you lose 5 RP rolls. If you stick ten in the squad you can take a few wounds before a LD test and you will have some meat in CC.
Ideally those Warriors shouldn't be that close anyways. I've pretty much degenerated my Warriors to blobs of 10, hosts for a Stormtek, cheap minimum score unit, or a way to get a Night Scythe. Otherwise I'd wager that Immortals my preferred.
